| In addition to his architectural work, George Schnee is an accomplished ceramicist, having worked with clay for over 30 years. His works in porcelain and stoneware have been shown in exhibitions and are part of a number of private collections. Of his ceramics, George says, "My ceramics compliment my architectural work, offering a fluid expression of three dimensional ideas. My hand-built platters are very organic and spontaneous, while the towers are carefully formed and evocative of skyscrapers. My wheel-thrown porcelain pieces are much more formal and delicate, and are influenced by the long tradition of Asian pottery." |
